I’ve been working for a company that calibrates diesel engines and transmissions for 16 months. The work is challenging given my background, but I think I’m making progress.
The most important thing a non diesel enthusiast should know is that diesel engines actually have fewer emissions than some cars. They also enjoy much better mileage than the past.
But the most important thing to know is that the diesel engine for GMC, GM and Dodge come off the assembly line as a blank slate. The manufacturers leave significant headroom that we can exploit through engine calibrations. Additional modifications like exhaust and fuel modifications take our tunes to the next level.
Bottom line – we create calibrations that improve your trucks response, reliability, and driveability. Some of our customers tell us it’s like driving a new truck.
